ID-10095437The Philippine Bureau of Customs is warning the public against individuals offering employment at the agency in exchange for money.

The BOC stressed it follows hiring procedures prescribed by the Civil Service Commission and that employment does not require payment of any fees.

Complaints have reached the bureau that illegal recruiters offering jobs claimed to have strong connections at the BOC. The recruiters would wear shirts with the BOC logo and produce fake identification cards and an appointment paper signed by someone purportedly from the human resources department of the bureau.
