Hanjin Shipping has introduced a new Smartphone application service to provide customers information on a real-time basis.

The Smartphone app was unveiled on June 29 and provides a wide range of real-time information, including cargo/vessel tracking, cargo arrival notice, cargo loading reservation, GPS-based office search and carbon calculation.

Hanjin is applying a QR code to the Bill of Lading for the first time among shipping carriers so they will not have to bother encoding data to view the cargo information, which will also be saved automatically for future reference.
