Gaerlan takes his oath of office on Jan 14
Retired brigadier general Manuel Gaerlan has been appointed as the new president and chief executive officer (CEO) of state-owned Clark Development Corp. (CDC).
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea announced Gaerlan’s appointment in a letter to the CDC Board of Directors dated January 11.
The new president and CEO replaces officer-in-charge Mariza Mandocdoc.
“Director Gaerlan is very much aware of the opportunities and challenges that Clark faces. With his inspiring leadership, CDC will be able to accomplish much much more for Clark and its stakeholders,” Mandocdoc said in a statement.
Gaerlan, who graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 1985, was formerly Philippine National Police deputy regional director for operations in Central Luzon, and was the chief of the Davao Police Regional Office until his retirement in 2018.
He will take his oath of office on January 14 during a special organizational meeting of the CDC Board.
CDC, which was created in 1993, is an attached agency of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority that manages the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga as a premier investment and business center.
