Alibata Ltd. is expanding its logistics operations with the recent inauguration of its north and central Luzon warehouse in Angeles, Pampanga.

The 1,260-square-meter facility is located inside the Pampanga Economic Zone. It can accommodate 656 pallet positions for ambient storage, 176 pallet positions for dangerous goods, and space for temperature-controlled products.

Under the second phase of development, 184 pallet positions will be made available for temperature-controlled products.

Aside from the new hub in Pampanga, Alibata recently expanded its warehouse in Laguna, and is now eyeing expansion of its Cebu facility.

The 1,260-square-meter facility can accommodate 656 pallet positions for ambient storage, 176 pallet positions for dangerous goods, and space for temperature-controlled products.

Alibata supply chain management manager Ma. Teresa Dublin, in an interview with PortCalls at the sidelines of the inauguration on July 19, said the facility was established to provide clients with shorter lead times and cost efficiency.

The warehouse is 1.5 kilometers from the nearest expressway, 15km from Clark International Airport, 102km from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, 75km from Subic port, and 88km from the Manila ports.

Dublin said they are already in discussions with potential clients for the Pampanga warehouse, which can be customized based on client requirements.

Aside from semiconductors–the major industry which Alibata serves—such sectors as automotive, pharmaceutical, and even food are being eyed, according to Dublin, as long as they are inside Philippine Economic Zone Authority or Board of Investments economic zones.

Being a registered ecozone logistics service enterprise (ELSE), Dublin said Alibata’s advantage is that they understand the operations and processes as well as the nature of their clients’ products, allowing them to provide a better solution for their logistics and warehousing needs.

ELSEs are traders who supply production-related raw materials and equipment that cater exclusively to requirements of economic zone locators.

Apart from warehousing, Dublin said Alibata can provide end-to-end solutions, including freight forwarding, distribution, inventory management, reverse logistics, and last-mile services.

Alibata aims to expand its sales and marketing business, and is also offering a new solution for the business process outsourcing industry.
