• The National Capital Region, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Cavite, collectively know  as NCR Plus, will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until May 14, 2021 to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus
  • The City of Santiago and Quirino Province in Region 2, and Abra in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were likewise placed under MECQ for the whole month of May
  • Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Batangas, Quezon, Tacloban City, Iligan City, Davao City, and Lanao del Sur will be under general community quarantine from May 1-31, 2021
  • All other areas in the country will remain under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) for the month of May

The National Capital Region, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Cavite, collectively called NCR Plus, will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until May 14, 2021 to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Malacañang announced.

The City of Santiago and Quirino Province in Region 2, and Abra in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were likewise placed under MECQ for the whole month of May.

Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province in CAR; Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya in Region 2; Batangas and Quezon in Region 4-A; Tacloban City in Region 8; Iligan City in Region 10; Davao City in Region11; and Lanao del Sur in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) from May 1-31, 2021.

All other areas in the country will remain under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) for the month of May.

The latest quarantine restrictions were recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.

100% operation for logistics firms
Logistics service providers are allowed to operate at 100% capacity, while cargo/delivery vehicles should still be allowed unhampered movement in areas under MECQ, GCQ, and MGCQ.

Within and across areas placed under any form of community quarantine, movement of all types of cargoes via land, air, and sea should remain unhampered. Likewise, workers in the logistics sector, such as those in cargo, trucking, courier delivery and port operations, should be allowed to transit within and across these areas, according to the omnibus guidelines set by the IATF.

The road, rail, maritime, and aviation sectors of public transportation are allowed to operate at the capacity set by Department of Transportation.
