2GO Group is bosting its presence in the Visayas and Mindanao with new routes to Cebu.

The streamlined route connects General Santos and Davao to Cebu before returning to Manila, providing Southern Mindanao travelers with a convenient and trade-friendly alternative to conventional land and air travel, 2GO said in a statement.

The carrier said with its roll-on/roll-off and cargo services, passengers can also transport goods seamlessly while enjoying a smooth and comfortable journey.

The additions aim to address the growing demand for seamless travel and trade solutions within the region while reinforcing Cebu’s position as a vital hub for Central Visayas, 2GO said.

It noted that in 2024, it transported nearly 160,000 passengers through the Cebu City port, “underscoring the city’s role as a vibrant center for sea travel and inter-island commerce.”

The new offering also reinforces Cebu’s vital role in strengthening inter-island trade and tourism, 2GO noted.

“We are proud to witness this growth and remain dedicated to providing more efficient and accessible transportation services for the Visayas and Mindanao regions,” 2GO Retail Business Unit Head Blessie Cruz said.

“Our enhanced routes are a testament to our commitment to connecting communities and empowering businesses through seamless travel and delivery solutions,” Cruz added.

2GO is currently the only sea travel provider offering routes from Davao and General Santos to Cebu.

By continuously investing in innovative logistics and passenger solutions, 2GO said it provides travelers and businesses with more efficient and accessible transport options, driving economic growth across key regions.

The company also offers multiple weekly sailings from Cebu, including up to five trips to Manila, two to Cagayan de Oro, and one to Tagbilaran.
