A 2GO unit has launched a standalone customs brokerage service to complement the company’s expertise in special projects, ISO tanks, and cold chain services.

2GO Special Containers and Value-Added Services, Inc. (SCVASI), a subsidiary of logistics and sea travel services provider 2GO Group, Inc, said its new customs brokerage service will make SCVASI a one-stop logistics solution provider.

It will act as an enabler, opening a seamless gateway from international markets directly to local customers acquiring 2GO services such as general cargoes, cold chain, bulk liquids, and heavy lift cargoes, SCVASI said in a statement.

“SCVASI saw the opportunity to make this service standalone. We have been providing it, but consolidating products with different requirements adds more value. This move will prove beneficial in terms of cost-effectiveness and timely delivery for our clients, regardless of freight requirements,” SCVASI president Gener Lim said.

Known for its ISO tank and cold chain solutions, SCVASI specializes in the transport of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids such as chemicals, food products, solvents, oils, resins, and alcoholic beverages.

These services are critical for maintaining the integrity of perishable goods, from food items to pharmaceuticals.

“The launch of SCVASI’s full-service customs brokerage solutions comes at a crucial time for the Philippine economy,” Lim noted.

“As the country continues to recover and grow, efficient logistics and supply chain management are essential for supporting various industries. By offering a wide range of options and leveraging our extensive network, 2GO’s SCVASI is well-positioned to meet the increasing demands of the market and contribute to the country’s economic development,” added Lim.

With its new service, SCVASI said it aims to bring a greater variety of goods to the Philippine market.

The company’s extensive network, spanning multiple countries, allows it to offer diverse products to cater to the unique needs of different industries.

The launch of SCVASI’s custom brokerage services also marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to enhancing logistics solutions in the Philippines. SCVASI said its licensed brokers have strong relationships with local customs, regulating agencies, and related authorities to ensure the smooth movement of goods.
