2GO has completed the upgrade of its Escolta branch in Binondo, Manila, enhancing the facility to support rising demand for integrated logistics, cargo, travel, and express services in one of the country’s oldest commercial districts.

Located on the ground floor of the AIC Center along Escolta Street, the branch remained fully operational throughout the renovation, ensuring uninterrupted service while the space was modernized to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

A key feature of the upgrade is the introduction of the first 2GO retail outlet with Cafe 2GO, a fully owned and branded café concept previously available only onboard 2GO vessels.

The move brings the onboard hospitality experience into a land-based retail setting, offering customers a more comfortable environment while completing transactions or waiting for services.

The renovated branch also houses a dedicated Cafe 2GO Training Room, which will serve as a venue for onboarding, skills development, and continuous learning programs for 2GO personnel. The facility will be used for barista training and other capability-building initiatives across the company’s retail network.

“Cafe 2GO was created to elevate the overall travel experience of our customers and bringing it into a retail setting allows us to extend that same experience on ground,” said Roland Sunga, assistant vice president for food and beverage, ancillary, and hotel operations of 2GO Travel. “The dedicated training space enables us to continuously develop our baristas, refine our offerings, and ensure consistent quality across all touchpoints.”

Designed as more than a transaction point, the upgraded space is positioned as a meeting and collaboration hub where customers, MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises), and business partners can coordinate shipments, discuss logistics requirements, and access 2GO’s integrated services in one location.

Situated in Binondo, the Escolta branch plays a strategic role in supporting trade and MSMEs by facilitating the movement of machinery, spare parts, textiles, and wholesale goods across cities and regions nationwide.

“This renovated location is more than a retail branch—it is a hub for MSME growth,” said Blessie Cruz, business unit head of 2GO Retail. “Through this space, the introduction of Cafe 2GO, and our enhanced facilities, we aim to elevate customer experience while creating more opportunities for the communities we serve.”
