3rd Central Luzon Transport & Trade Conference 2025 draws logistics industry bigwigs
Thirteen speakers highlighted Central Luzon’s attraction as a logistics hub and a strategic destination for investors, identified trends in logistics, and looked into supply chain challenges and solutions at the 3rd Central Luzon Transport & Trade Conference 2025 on June 19 at Clark Marriott Hotel, Pampanga.

More than 250 trade, logistics, and supply chain executives came together during the 3rd Central Luzon Transport and Trade Conference and Exhibit 2025 on June 19 at the Clark Marriott Hotel in Clark, Pampanga.

A total of 13 speakers highlighted Central Luzon’s attraction as a logistics hub and a strategic destination for investors; identified trends in logistics; and looked into supply chain challenges and solutions.

The annual conference and exhibit was jointly organized by PortCalls and the Philippine Multimodal Transport & Logistics Association.

In her welcome remarks, Clark Development Corp. president and chief executive officer Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera emphasized the importance of transportation and logistics and provided a glimpse of the exciting developments happening in Clark.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial director-Zambales Enrique Tacbad provided an overview of trade opportunities in Central Luzon and its advantages as an investment destination.

Bases Conversion and Development Authority vice president for investment promotions and marketing Erwin Kenneth Peralta highlighted New Clark City’s competitive advantage as an investment destination, as well as upcoming projects by BCDA such as the Clark integrated public transport system, New Clark City West Industrial Park, and Poro Point Seaport modernization.

Clark International Airport Corp. chief Business Development officer Melissa Feliciano shared CIAC’s vision for the Clark Aviation Capital, which aims to transform the prime government-owned land around Clark International Airport into a dedicated aviation-focused business hub. She also put a spotlight on an ongoing priority project—the National Food Hub, an agriculture trading hub inside the Clark Civil Aviation Complex that will support the national government’s push to make the Philippines a leading agricultural resource hub in the region and the world.

Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Traffic Development head Jasmin Reyes shared updates on the growing cargo and passenger operations at Clark International Airport as well as plans to further expand capacity and improve services at the Luzon gateway.

Big things are also happening at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, as shared by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority senior deputy administrator for operations Ronnie Yambao. Ports and airport development projects are in the pipeline while the Freeport Zone seeks to become the first carbon-neutral economic zone in the Philippines.

Subic’s container terminal is also seeing increased utilization and wider route connectivity, supported by various investments in equipment and technology by operator Subic Bay International Container Terminal, according to International Container Terminal Services, Inc.(ICTSI) commercial director-Philippines cluster Mikkel Puyat. ICTSI is the parent company of SBITC.

Mober Philippines founder and CEO Dennis Ng talked about the ups and downs in going green, sharing his company’s experience as a leader in green logistics.

SGV tax partner Atty. Alden Labaguis gave a timely discussion on the impact of the US reciprocal tariffs on the local economy.

AP Cargo president and chief operating officer and PTC Logistics president and CEO Ike Castillo detailed logistics vulnerabilities and even shared a planning framework to anticipate risks and address such vulnerabilities.

For the government side, DTI Supply Chain and Logistics division chief Jonathan Cabaltera spoke of projects that the Supply Chain and Logistics Group are working on, including a new “go to” center for logistics and supply chain concerns, and a system that will streamline the registration for air and sea freight forwarders.

Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark Bonds Division assistant chief Chris David Demaro and BOC Port of Subic Bay Services Unit chief Leo Abella shared their respective ports’ trade facilitation initiatives and priority programs to respectively help companies and service providers in Clark and Subic.
