44% pass customs broker licensure exam

  • 44% passed the November 2024 Customs Broker Licensure Exam given by the Professional Regulatory Board for Customs Brokers
  • From the 2,871 takers, only 1,265 hurdled the test conducted in the National Capital Region, Cebu, and Davao
  • Adrian Gacos of DMMA College of Southern Philippines topped the exam with a 91.75% rating

Forty four percent passed the November 2024 Customs Broker Licensure Exam given by the Professional Regulatory Board for Customs Brokers (PRBCB).

From the 2,871 takers, less than half or 1,265 hurdled the test conducted in the National Capital Region, Cebu, and Davao, according to the Professional Regulation Commission.

A much higher percentage passed the exam in 2023.

Adrian Gacos of DMMA College of Southern Philippines led the top ten with a rating of 91.75%. Completing the top 10 passers are the following:

  • Second place: Bianca Louise Rabino, Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU)-Manila, 91.5%
  • Third place: Erna Kayla Flores, Mabalacat City College; Mary Ann Siega, Trece Martires City College, 91.25%
  • Fourth place: Chumir Ahl Niñal, DMMA College of Southern Philippines; Ralph Menard Solis, Gordon College (for Olongapo City College), 90.50%
  • Fifth place: Anna Dominique Castañeda, University of Cebu; Fritzie Ann Hinojales, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo, 90.25%
  • Sixth place: Patrick Canapati, LPU-Manila, 90%
  • Seventh place: Christia Mae Hernandez, LPU-Batangas, Inc., 89.75%
  • Eighth place: Maria Franchesca Lumelay, International School of Asia & the Pacific; Mary Christy Miñoza, University of Cebu in Lapulapu & Mandaue; Faye Denise Ramos, LPU-Manila, 89.50%
  • Ninth place: Ronil Arizala, LPU-Manila; Ronah Mae Cabaloza, LPU-Manila, 89.25%
  • Tenth place: Bernadeth Luistro, Lemery Colleges; Simon Spencer Solon, University of Cebu in Lapulapu & Mandaue; Mary Ann Somobay, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, 89%

Adamson University had the most passers at 82% followed by Batangas State University (77.85%) and LPU-Manila (75%). A number of schools had a 100% passing mark only because they each had one taker.

This year’s results were released on November 29, three working days after the last day of the examination, which were officiated by PRBCB chairman Samuel Bautista, and members Nenette T. Dagondon and Albert V. Cruz.

PRC said starting December 19, 2024, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. – Roumina Pablo
