46% pass customs brokers licensure exam

  • 873 out of 1,879 examinees, a pass rate of 46%, passed the customs brokers licensure examination (CBLE) given this November by the Professional Regulatory Board for Customs Brokers (PRBCB) in Manila, Cebu City and Davao City
  • 21 examinees got the top 10 highest ratings in the 2022 CBLE
  • Batangas State University was the top-notch school in the November 2022 CBLE with 58 graduates or 82.86% of its 70 examinees passing
  • PRC said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done online from December 19 to 23, 2022

A total of 873 out of 1,879 examinees, or 46%, passed the customs brokers licensure examination (CBLE) given this November by the Professional Regulatory Board for Customs Brokers (PRBCB) in Manila, Cebu City and Davao City, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The results were released on November 8, two working days after the last day of examination that was officiated by PRBCB chairman Samuel C. Bautista and members Nenette T. Dagondon and Albert V. Cruz.

A total of 21 examinees garnered the top 10 highest ratings in the 2022 CBLE, with Keith Ann Casa of Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU)-Batangas Inc. and John Ro Aaron Ramos of Batangas State University (BSU) both in first place with an identical 91.5% rating.

Completing the top 10 are the following:

  • Second place – Christine Veronica Calingasan, BSU, 91%
  • Third place – John Henry Tongson, Trece Martires City College, 90.75%
  • Fourth place – Ma. Jean Ugsimar, University of Cebu (UC), 90%
  • Fifth place – Richmond Linao, UC; and Eldrick James Onal, LPU-Manila, 89.50%
  • Sixth place – Laarnie Remandaban, LPU-Manila, 89.25%
  • Seventh place – Jinky Balaod, University of Cebu in Lapulapu and Mandaue; Ma. Fatima Carag, BSU; James Homer Mendoza, LPU-Batangas; Jasmin Mendoza, LPU-Batangas; and Jhopet Tandoc, LPU-Manila, 89%
  • Eighth place – Clark David Agot, UC; Jenella Rose Queto, Lemery Colleges; and Leila Cary Perez, LPU-Batangas, 88.75%
  • Ninth place – Arvin Faigmani, BSU; and Excelle Kate Leaño, International School of Asia & the Pacific, 88.5%
  • Tenth place – Imran Al-Barr Amin, LPU-Manila; Virgie Reduta, Philippine Merchant Marine School-Las Piñas; and Joyce Ann Santos, Adamson University, 88.25%

BSU was the top-notch school in the November 2022 CBLE, with 58 or 82.86% of its 70 examinees passed.

PRC said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done online from December 19 to 23. Instructions for initial registration can be viewed on the PRC website.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, PRC added.

The date and venue of the oath-taking ceremony for the passers will be announced on a later date. – Roumina Pablo
