AC Logistics Holdings Corporation and Glacier Megafridge, Inc. (GMI) have opened a cold storage facility at the Anflo Industrial Estate in Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
Operated through their joint venture, GMAC Logitech Refrigeration Corporation (GMAC), the facility has 11,798 pallet positions and is considered among the largest and most advanced cold storage facilities in the Davao region, AC Logistics said in a news release.
The Anflo Industrial Estate is an accredited special economic zone located strategically to serve the agriculture, aquaculture, food processing, retail and light manufacturing sectors.
“Post harvest loss continues to be a pressing supply chain challenge in the Philippines. The opening of GMAC Davao represents our shared commitment to strengthening food security. Through our cold storage technology and end to end logistics solutions, we are helping minimize spoilage and preserve the value of what our farmers and producers work so hard to harvest,” said Erry Hardianto, AC Logistics president and CEO.
The cold storage facility is positioned to support the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises as well as large companies by enabling more efficient and modern logistics operations.
It is part of the companies’ expanding partnership to broaden cold chain capacity, extend network coverage and enhance service delivery nationwide.
