Global supply chain provider Agility has increased its trucking shuttle service frequency in Malaysia to a daily basis to strengthen linkages to the country’s neighbors in Southeast Asia.

The increased frequency is designed to bolster the company’s domestic road freight services to improve the connectivity of its warehouses in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Melaka in Malaysia.

Using a fleet of trucks provided by the company and its partners, the daily shuttle service is also expected to raise cross-border trucking linkages to ASEAN neighbors Thailand and Vietnam.

Agility’s move comes as it looks to expand its present client base, the bulk of which comes from the electronics industry.

Morten Damgaard, company CEO of Southeast Asia, said they hope to grow their automotive, fashion, and retail industries as customers begin to see the cost benefits of cross-border trucking services.
