The Association of International Shipping Lines (AISL) concluded its 14th annual fellowship golf tournament at Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Barangay Lipa, Batangas.

AISL said the event, held on March 1, drew participation from friends and associates within the shipping and logistics community, eager to partake in the camaraderie.

The 144 slots for the 18-hole tournament were swiftly claimed, with hopefuls already eyeing participation in the next edition, AISL added.

Winners during the tournament were the following:

Ladies Division

  • Champion – Leah Ramos
  • 1st runner up – Myrna Enriquez

Men’s Division Class C

  • Champion– Arnold Cabawatan
  • 1st runner up – Denver Marcalas
  • 2nd runner up – Klaus Schroeder

Men’s Division Class B

  • Champion – Roy Rac
  • 1st runner up – Randy Vasquez
  • 2nd runner up – Michael Angelo Lopez

Men’s Division Class A

  • Champion– Ivan Avena
  • 1st runner up – Nelson Mendoza
  • 2nd runner up – Cosric Angeles
  • Overall net champion – Arnold Brizuela
  • Nearest to the pin Mt. Malipunyo Hole #2 – Randy Ty (8 feet)
  • Longest drive Mt. Malupunyo Hole #5 – Randy Ty (260 yards)
  • Longest putt Mt. Lobo Hole #8 – Carlo Ilao (9 feet)
  • Most accurate drive Mt. Lobo Hole #5 – Jun Bella (half grip)

Looking ahead, AISL said it eagerly awaits the return of participants for the forthcoming tournament scheduled for next year.

AISL represents more than 30 container liners calling Philippine ports.
