Marilyn Alberto has been elected president of the newly established Philippine Multimodal Transportation and Logistics Association, Inc. (PMTLAI), the merged group of Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association, Inc. and Aircargo Forwarders of the Philippines.

Marilyn Alberto has been elected president of the newly established Philippine Multimodal Transportation and Logistics Association, Inc. (PMTLAI), which merged two previous associations –the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association, Inc. and Aircargo Forwarders of the Philippines.

Alberto of Kintetsu World Express (Phils.), Inc. will lead the new group for two years. She will be assisted by Vicente Gregorio Sebastian of Hankyu Hanshin Express as vice president for air; Irene Manguiat-Tan of Transmodal International, Inc. as vice president for sea; and Guilbert Purcia of Purcia Transport System, Inc. as vice president for land. Purcia is also the appointed representative for the Cebu Chapter.

Josie Yap of Philippine Genesis Freight Unlimited, Inc. was elected as corporate secretary; Nancy Maramba of Wen-Parker Logistics Phils., Co. Ltd., Inc. as treasurer; Bienvenido Anunciacion of Sea-Jet International Forwarders, Inc. as auditor; and Erich Lingad of Move It Multimodal Transport and Logistics Corp. as PRO.

Bernardita Rivadeneira of Pacific Concord Container Lines, Inc. is chair of the membership committee, with Maria Emperatriz Regis of Airspeed International Corp. as co-chair. Regis is also the chair of the ethics committee.

Doris Torres of Stamm International, Inc. will chair the training and education committee while Leticia Jimenez of Airtropolis Consolidators Phils., Inc. is head of the social responsibility committee.

Nelson Mendoza of Awards Cargo Agency Philippines, Inc. is chairman of the standards committee.

Ramon Benjamin De Leon of Pac-Atlantic Lines (Phils.), Inc. will serve as chairman of the sports and fellowship committee, with Mark Anthony Colona of Eagle Express Lines, Inc. as co-chairman. Conversely, Colona is chairman of the ways and means committee with De Leon as co-chair.
