AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) signed a deal with Newbie Station Logistic Inc., granting the latter a 13,000-square-meter (sqm) gross leasable area (GLA) of ready-built facilities at the ALogis Biñan 4 warehouse hub in Laguna Technopark.
The leased space will be Newbie Station’s first warehouse facility in the Philippines after being registered in the country this year. Newbie Station is a Chinese logistics company serving top e-commerce industries.
“The Laguna Technopark project is an upscale modern industrial compound—the location, design, and quality suit our operations,” Newbie Logistic general manager Yingjun Lan said in a statement.
ALLHC president and CEO Rowena Tomeldan said the agreement will generate more employment opportunities for Laguna residents as about 100 workers are expected to be hired by Newbie Logistic.
A subsidiary of Ayala Land, Inc., ALLHC has principal business interests in holding companies, commercial leasing, industrial lot sales and development, and retail electricity supply. Its subsidiaries include Laguna Technopark, Inc.; Unity Realty Development Corp.; Orion Land, Inc.; Tutuban Properties, Inc.; LCI Commercial Ventures, Inc.; and FLT Prime Insurance Corp.
ALLHC’s warehouses or ready-built facilities for lease at ALogis have spaces ranging from 500sqm to 1,500 sqm. ALogis’s portfolio currently has eight properties in five key locations in Luzon.
ALLHC earlier said it is set on building its national footprint by growing its warehouse GLA to 500,000 sqm, establishing a presence in 10 key locations across the country and creating new business platforms by the year 2025.
It envisions becoming the leading real estate logistics and industrial estate developer in the Philippines through its expansion efforts.
