B/E Aerospace officially signed a registration agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) on May 26, establishing the company as a a new ecozone Information Technology (IT) enterprise, PEZA said in a statement.

B/E Aerospace operates under the Collins Aerospace umbrella.

Signed by PEZA director general Tereso Panga and B/E Aerospace chief financial officer and Finance director Allan Hall, the agreement marks a distinct and original registration, separate from the company’s existing manufacturing activities.

It authorizes B/E Aerospace to operate under a new classification focused on knowledge and business process outsourcing (BPO) and IT-enabled services in the Philippines.

As a PEZA-registered enterprise known for its manufacturing activities, B/E Aerospace will deliver a range of high-value services. Focus will be on Aerospace and Defense Global Technical Solutions—including engineering and design, finance and accounting, customer service, supply chain and logistics, credit and collections, global people services, IT services, and other general business administrative and support functions.

The agreement underscores Collins Aerospace’s continued commitment to the Philippines as a hub for both advanced manufacturing and global business services, said the company.

Since its registration with PEZA in 2010, Collins has steadily expanded its operations in the Philippines, investing over P7 billion and generating employment for more than 3,000 Filipinos.
