Baquiran officially appointed BOC deputy commissioner

Vener Baquiran has been officially appointed as deputy commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BOC).

Atty Baquiran was appointed on June 26, Malacañang said in a statement.

Since February this year, Baquiran has occupied the position of deputy commissioner for the Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group. Prior to this, he has been deputy commissioner for the Revenue Collections Monitoring Group since 2019.

He also served as district collector of the Port of Manila and Manila International Container Port, and was designated in the Office of the Chief of Staff, Office of the Commissioner in 2018.
