Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Aparri has already hit and surpassed in just three months its annual revenue target of P255 million this year, collecting P286.016 million from January to March 2020.

This is the collection district’s third consecutive year of hitting its annual target.

In a statement, BOC Aparri said the two oil importations of Filoil Logistics Corporation had the highest revenue contribution, generating P206.893 million of duties and taxes.

Also contributing to the collection were revenues from six importations of cement, one importation of aircraft, one importation of steel sheet pile, and a few importations of various items in Cagayan North International Airport.

The collection district was also able to hit and surpass its April 2020 collection target of P21 million with P39.276 million.

BOC Aparri attributed the positive performance to the collective efforts of its employees and stakeholders, and compliance to the assessment, payment, and collection of proper duties and taxes.

BOC Aparri is one of the customs bureau’s 17 collection districts nationwide. For 2020, BOC is tasked to collect P731 billion and an additional P20 billion in tax refund for a total of P751 billion.
