ID-100266910The Bureau of Customs (BOC) is eyeing more than P23.5 million in sales from the public auction of 62 containers of various goods at the Manila International Container Port (MICP).

BOC’s Auction and Cargo Disposal Division (ACDD) disposed of 17 forty-foot equivalent units (FEUs) of refined sugar with a total floor price of P21.502 million on June 28.

Only companies or individuals registered with the Sugar Regulatory Administration as “B” or domestic market were allowed to bid for the sugar, BOC said.

Additionally, 44 containers containing expanded piocelan beads, polyethylene beads, expandable polystyrene beads kane pearl and expanded polypropylene beads having a total floor price P1.728 million were also up for auction.

Rounding off the lot was one FEU of various commodities such as footwear, plastic shoe molds, wiper blades, and pistons valued at P300,000 will also be sold.

Earlier, BOC-MICP auctioned off P25 million worth of seized items at MICP and another P7.6 million worth of products at the Port of Batangas.
