  • For the first two months of the year, BOC collected a total of P154.75 billion, representing a 2.5% increase year-on-year
  • BOC said the sustained growth in the first two months underscores steady revenue gains early in the fiscal year
  • BC is tasked to collect P1.003 trillion this year, higher than the P916.7 billion target and the P934.4 billion actual collection in 2025

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) collected P73.798 billion in February 2026, surpassing its P72.592 billion target for the month by 1.7%.

The February revenue collection was also 2.8% higher than the P71.765 billion recorded in February 2025, BOC said in a statement.

For the first two months of the year, BOC’s total revenue was P154.747 billion, up 2.5% year-on-year.

BOC said the sustained growth in the first two months “reflects the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to reinforce fiscal discipline and enhance revenue collection for national priorities, and the leadership of Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno in strengthening enforcement and compliance across the Bureau.”

“The entire Bureau delivered more than the expected financial target for February. This is contrary to the expectation that, during the month of the Chinese New Year, bumababa yung collection (collection decreases),” Nepomuceno said.

“But we were able to prove, with the efforts of everyone, especially our port collectors, that it can be done — with the proper assessment, with the stricter implementation of enforcement rules, and with the due diligence of our deputy commissioners, who keep on budging everyone to collect properly. So, again, thank you and congratulations to the Bureau for achieving our collection target more than the expectation,” he added.

Moving forward, BOC said it remains committed to further enhancing its systems and processes to ensure sustained revenue performance in support of the country’s fiscal stability and development agenda.

The Development Budget Coordination Committee has set a P1.003 trillion revenue collection target for BOC this year, higher than the P916.7 billion target and the P934.4 billion actual collection in 2025.
