BOC-Mactan names top 10 importers for 2022

The Bureau of Customs subport of Mactan (BOC-Mactan) in Cebu named its top 10 importers for 2022, acknowledging their contribution in surpassing by 21.53% the port’s annual target.

For 2022, BOC-Mactan collected P1.533 billion against the P1.262-billion target, the subport said in a statement.

BOC-Mactan said part of its achievement was “the constant support and allegiance of the Bureau’s stakeholders, especially the importers.”

Fats and oils company A.D. Gothong Manufacturing led BOC-Mactan’s top importers in 2022, contributing P320.372 million to the total duties and taxes collected by the subport.

It was followed by food and beverage company San Miguel Foods, Inc. with P291.962 million.

Contributing P36.023 million, integrated food company General Milling Corp. ranked third while Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Company, the animal nutrition and health care subsidiary of United Laboratories, Inc., brought in P35.396 million.

Neovia Philippines, Inc., an animal nutrition company, placed fifth with P28.456 million followed by feeds manufacturer Universal Feed Mill Corp. with P22.113 million.

Rounding off the top 10 importers of BOC-Mactan were Simon Agribusiness Corp. with P16.655 million; J.B. Armor Wholesale Corp. with P16.539 million; Marcela Farms Inc. with P16.387 million; and Carmen Copper Corp. with P16.179 million.
