The Bureau of Customs-Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP) posted a P1.376 billion revenue on February 18, marking the highest single-day collection in the port’s history.

As of mid-February 2026, the MICP had generated P11.36 billion in revenues, exceeding its mid-month collection target by 3.8%, the BOC announced

Port officials attributed the surplus to operational enhancements and closer coordination with stakeholders, including logistics optimization with port and terminal operators and shipping lines, as well as data-driven efficiency measures arising from initial discussions of trade release study partial reports.

The agency also cited strategic staffing adjustments to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and strengthened cooperation with banks, which extended operating hours to weekends to accommodate importers and brokers.

District Collector Atty. Felipe Geoffrey De Vera IV commended BOC-MICP personnel for the milestone, saying the performance reflects the port’s adherence to the bureau’s mandate.

“This record-breaking performance is more than just numbers; it represents the efficiency and integrity of our team,” De Vera said.

“We vow to continue pursuing the mandates of the BOC under the leadership of Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, in firm support of the marching orders from President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. and Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go to maximize revenue collection for the nation’s economic growth,” he added.

The BOC-MICP recently honored the top importers and stakeholders for 2025, highlighting their contributions to trade. The district frequently surpasses its high-revenue targets.
