
In December alone, BOC posted P37.1 billion in total collections, 5.8% or P2.2 billion lower than its P39.4 -billion target.
Actual cash collections rose 20% though or P5.4 billion more than the December 2014 figure.
Of the agency’s 17 ports, those that exceeded their 2015 collection targets were Zamboanga (by P175 million), Legazpi (P290 million), and Iloilo (P2.3 billion).
The bottom performers were Limay, San Fernando and Aparri, which fell short of their targets by P23 billion, P835 million and P455 million, respectively.
For 2016, BOC’s collection goal is set at P498.7 billion, 14.25% higher than 2015’s.
