The Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC) will be spending P290 million on the purchase of 20 speedboats to be used in its drive to secure territorial seas from smuggled contraband.

BOC is inviting bidders to supply and deliver 10 speedboats with a speed of 60 knots and equipped with trailers, and 10 more with a 40-knot speed and trailers. The budget for the procurement is part of BOC’s 2017 general appropriations approved last year.

Interested bidders for both projects may obtain further information from BOC’s Bids and Awards Committee (Secretariat). A complete set of bidding documents may be obtained by February 17 with payment of the applicable fee.

BOC will hold a pre-bid conference for both biddings on February 24. Deadline for submission of bids is on March 9; bids will be opened the same day.
