President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed new officials to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
The appointments were transmitted recently to Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista, who administered the oath of office to the new appointees upon receipt of their appointment papers.
Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo has been appointed CAAP acting director general and board member. Tamayo was appointed in July as CAAP deputy director general, a position he held previously in 2016- 2017. He was previously a Transport undersecretary for aviation and airports.
Other appointees to CAAP are:
- Danjun G. Lucas as CAAP deputy director general
- Arnold R. Balucating as CAAP assistant director general II
- Ricardo C. Banayat as CAAP assistant director general II
- Donaldo A. Mendoza as CAAP assistant director general II
- Marlene I. Singson as CAAP assistant director general
- Antonia Hernandez-Llamzon as CAAP corporate executive officer V
Primitivo Y. Garcia III, meanwhile, has been named acting member of the MIAA board of directors, representing the private sector.
