Twenty-six candidates are vying to be part of the Philippines’ Chamber of Customs Brokers Inc.’s (CCBI) board of directors that will serve for a term of two years.

In a bulletin, CCBI listed the 26 official candidates for the March 17 national election. These are Jose Jefferson Bajao, Samuel Bautista, Antonio Bilazon, Alex Calderon, Dennis Calica, Adones Carmona, Joselito Castillo, Norberto Castillo, Armando Chan, Dennis Del Pilar, Samson Gabisan, Saturnino Galing, Lani Benitez-Gallino, Patrio Guasa, Mario Mantaring, Michael Mertalla, Ferdinand Nague, Elen Pasion, Felix Pica, Melchor Rabo, Myrna Rebao, Joseph Romano, Maria Theresa Santos, Reynaldo Soliman, Florecita Tagle, and Michael Tede.

Only 15 will be elected as directors of the organization for 2017-2019. Qualified members with a valid certificate of good standing from the CCBI office as of March 10, 2017 are eligible to vote during the election, to be held at the Bureau of Customs’ multipurpose court, Port of Manila.

CCBI, the accredited professional organization of customs brokers in the Philippines, has around 2,000 practicing members and chapters in Manila, Batangas, Cebu, Subic, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Zamboanga.
