ID-100292790The operation and management of electronic systems (e-systems) at the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has been turned over to Cargo Data Exchange Center, Inc. (CDEC), a specialist in technology solutions for the trade, transport, and logistics sector.

CDEC, a service provider accredited by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and now also by PEZA, will handle the economic zone authority’s e-systems, which include automated projects such as the Electronic Import Permit System (IEPS), Automated Export Documentation System (AEDS), and IEPS for Ecozone Logistics Service Enterprises.

Under PEZA Memorandum Circular No. 05-2015 dated February 20, all issues related to the PEZA e-systems should now be addressed to CDEC. The company replaces Apollo Technologies, Inc., which will now focus on its core competencies in IT solutions. The two have been partners for the last three years.

CDEC was also tapped earlier to develop and implement the Web-based application for the systematic return of empty containers to depots, a project spearheaded by the Association of International Shipping Lines.

Aside from CDEC, BOC-accredited value-added service providers InterCommerce Network Services, Inc. and E-Konek Pilipinas, Inc. are also providing services to PEZA.
