For this year, Cebu Pacific has earmarked a P60-billion expenditure, mostly for aircraft spending
Cebu Pacific received three more aircraft last month just in time for the peak travel season during the holidays.
The new aircraft deliveries included two A321neos, which arrived on October 23 and 30, and an A320ceo, which arrived on October 28. This raises the total number of aircraft delivered to Cebu Pacific this year to 15 so far.
“These deliveries are a key part of our continuous efforts to expand routes and expand our service, allowing us to better serve the increasing number of travelers,” Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said in a statement.
Airbus NEOs are the latest-generation aircraft that burn 15% less fuel per flight and produce less noise compared to the previous generation. The reduction in fuel consumption leads to a corresponding reduction in aircraft carbon emissions.
The Gokongwei-owned budget carrier presently operates nine Airbus 330s, 40 Airbus 320s, 24 Airbus 321s, and 15 ATR turboprops.
On October 2, Cebu Pacific announced that it has signed a landmark purchase agreement with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney for up to 152 A321neo aircraft, equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engines. The acquisition is the largest in Philippine aviation history, valued at approximately USD$24 billion (approximately PHP 1.4 trillion) based on list prices.

The agreement finalizes a binding memorandum of understanding inked on July 22. It covers firm orders for up to 102 A321neo, plus 50 A320neo Family purchase rights, with a minimum commitment of 70 aircraft.
The first batch will be delivered in 2029.
