Cebu Pacific has added local and international flights from Davao, and resumed direct flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong.

The low-cost carrier on October 27 started daily flights between Davao and Caticlan and Puerto Princesa, and four times weekly flights to Hong Kong.

Also inaugurated on October 28 were three times weekly flights to Bangkok-Don Mueang, while three times weekly flights to Tacloban commenced on October 29.

“We are thrilled to expand our network to and from Davao, strengthening the city’s connectivity both locally and globally,” Cebu Pacific chief marketing and customer experience officer Candice Iyog said in a statement.

“With the addition of these domestic and international flights, Cebu Pacific reaffirms its commitment to supporting Davao’s growing role as a key economic hub,” Iyog said, adding that the new routes will also open new opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange in the region.

Cebu Pacific noted that previously, passengers from Davao had to book connecting flights from Manila and spend up to eight hours traveling to reach Hong Kong and Bangkok with layovers. Cebu Pacific said its direct international flights from Davao allows passengers to no longer pay more for an additional stop or wait at another airport during their layover.

From Davao, passengers may now reach Hong Kong and Bangkok in 3.5 hours and save up to five hours in travel time. Passengers from Davao may also save up to 35% on one-way fare to Hong Kong and up to 99% on one-way fare to Bangkok on direct flights with Cebu Pacific.

The direct flights from Davao to Caticlan, Puerto Princesa, and Tacloban, meanwhile, are seen to open new opportunities for travelers to explore each destination’s iconic attractions, cuisine, and culture. Currently, Cebu Pacific also operates direct flights to Manila, Cebu, Clark, Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Iloilo, Siargao, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga from Davao.

Also on October 27, Cebu Pacific resumed its Iloilo-Hong Kong service.

The direct four times weekly flights are scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from Iloilo and every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Hong Kong.

With the flight resumptions, Cebu Pacific noted it became the only airline to operate international flights from Iloilo.

“We hope this will also make air travel even more affordable and accessible for a wider range of passengers in the Visayas region,” Iyog said.

Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
