Cebu Pacific ended 2024 with the delivery of its 17th aircraft for the year —A321neo.
The 236-seater aircraft touched down in Manila on December 24, 2024, bringing CEB’s commercial fleet to 91.
“The arrival of this new aircraft reinforces our readiness to meet the rising travel demand and our commitment to enhancing connectivity for our passengers in 2025 and beyond,” said Xander Lao, CEB president and chief commercial officer in a statement.
Airbus NEOs are the latest-generation aircraft that burn 15^ less fuel per flight and produce less noise compared to the previous generation. The reduction in fuel consumption leads to a corresponding reduction in aircraft carbon emissions.
Also this month, the low-cost carrier took delivery of its 16th aircraft, an A330neo.
On October 2, Cebu Pacific announced it has signed a landmark purchase agreement with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, for up to 152 A321neo aircraft, equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engines. The acquisition is the largest in Philippine aviation history, valued at approximately US$24 billion (P1.4 trillion) based on list prices.
Deliveries are slated to begin in 2029. The additional aircraft are expected to strengthen its regional presence, particularly in Davao, Cebu, and Clark.
Cebu Pacific operates one of the youngest fleets in the world, with its diversified commercial fleet mix of 10 Airbus 330s, 40 Airbus 320s, 26 Airbus 321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft enabling the widest network coverage in the Philippines.
