Cebu Pacific posted a 5.1% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in December 2025, carrying more than 2.7 million passengers despite a slight decline in seat load factor as capacity continued to expand.
The airline, in a regulatory disclosure, said overall seat load factor (SLF) slipped to 83.8% from 85.2% a year earlier, while total seat capacity rose by 6.9%.
Domestic passenger traffic grew 4.5% year-on-year, broadly in line with a 4.5% increase in seat capacity, resulting in a domestic SLF of 85.5%.
International passenger traffic rose by 6.6% from a year earlier, outpacing domestic growth. However, capacity on international routes expanded by 13.6%, pulling down international SLF by 5.2 percentage points to 79.4%.
For the full year 2025, Cebu Pacific flew nearly 27 million passengers, up 9.5% from 24.5 million in 2024. Domestic passenger numbers increased 8.1% to 20 million, while international passengers climbed 14.0% to 6.9 million.
Average SLF for the year stood at 84.0%, as total seat capacity rose 10.0% to 32 million.
“Cebu Pacific concluded 2025 on a strong note, achieving its highest-ever monthly passenger traffic with 2.7 million passengers in December. For the full year, the airline carried a record 26.9 million passengers, representing nearly 10% growth year-on-year,” said Mike Szucs, chief executive officer of Cebu Pacific.
“Delivering these record numbers despite challenges such as fleet reliability issues, supply chain disruptions, and global geopolitical tensions underscores the strength of our low-cost model and the agility of our operations,” he added.
Moving forward, “We anticipate sustaining similar growth levels in 2026, supported by the delivery of seven new aircraft during the year. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we look forward to another milestone year for the airline,” he said.
