Cebu Pacific (CEB) will launch direct flights between Manila and Chiang Mai, Thailand, starting October 29, 2024.

In addition to Manila and Cebu services to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, the new service will operate thrice weekly: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Return flights are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The four-hour trip will be operated using Cebu Pacific’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

The low-cost carrier is also offering promotional fares from August 1 to 6, 2024, with one-way tickets starting at P1, excluding fees and surcharges. The fares are valid for travel between October 29, 2024 and March 30, 2025.

“We share the anticipation of many Filipino travelers as we prepare to launch the only direct flights between Manila and Chiang Mai. This new route will provide our passengers the opportunity to explore Thailand beyond its urban attractions,” Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said in a statement.

Chiang Mai, known for its cultural heritage, temples, and scenic national parks, offers travelers an alternative to Thailand’s bustling urban centers. Key attractions include Doi Inthanon National Park, Mae Rim District, and the iconic Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple.

With the introduction of this route, CEB will serve a total of 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
