Cebu Pacific will lease five aircraft in 2023 to address capacity and growing passenger demand.

These are on top of the 10 new Airbus NEO aircraft that will be delivered in 2023 to expand the airline’s entire fleet, the low-cost carrier said in a statement.

Three of the aircraft will be used to re-start Cebu Pacific’s Clark operations while the two others will be used to support overall growth ambitions as the airline recovers fully from the pandemic, according to president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao.

Cebu Pacific earlier said it will be adding 13 domestic and international flights in Clark International Airport.

The airline said it is set to restore 100% of its pre-COVID network and capacity in March 2023. It now flies to 34 domestic destinations and is set to reinstate all its 25 international destinations in the first quarter of the year.

Starting March 26, Cebu Pacific will begin flying from Cebu to Naga four times weekly — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays — making it the only carrier to operate flights directly between the two destinations.

The airline will also resume daily flights from Cebu to Hong Kong beginning March 26.

From May 1, 2023, Cebu Pacific will also restart its flights from Cebu to Narita seven times weekly.

With three additional routes, Cebu Pacific will have direct flights to 23 domestic and four international destinations from Cebu.
