Cebu Pacific (CEB) will resume direct flights between Iloilo and Hong Kong starting October 27.
The airline will operate flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Return flights from Hong Kong to Iloilo will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
CEB said the new route offers travelers from Iloilo a faster and more affordable way to reach one of Asia’s shopping and dining destinations.
Previously, Iloilo passengers had to book connecting flights from Manila, which could take up to 12 hours and include layovers. CEB’s direct flights will reduce travel time to less than three hours and save passengers up to nine hours.
Additionally, passengers can save up to 20% on round-trip airfare compared to connecting flights, CEB said in a statement.
“With the resumption of flights to Hong Kong, CEB will be the only airline to operate international flights from Iloilo. We hope this will also make air travel even more affordable and accessible for a wider range of passengers in the Visayas region,” said Candice Iyog, CEB chief marketing and customer experience officer.
To celebrate the route resumption, CEB is offering a special promotion from July 26 to 31, 2024. Passengers can book flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong for as low as P1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges. This travel period is from October 27, 2024, to March 29, 2025.
The country’s low-cost airline said with these direct flights, travelers can now easily explore Hong Kong’s attractions, such as the Temple Street Night Market and Hong Kong Disneyland.
