The province of Cebu will be placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) beginning March 27, 2020 to stop the further spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Under Executive Order (EO) No. 5-N, signed on March 25 by Cebu governor Gwendolyn Garcia, inbound international passengers will no longer be allowed to enter starting March 27 but outbound passengers are allowed to leave the province.

The movement of cargoes in airports and seaports will, however, not be restricted and delivery of basic and essential goods will be prioritized.

The Cebu Port Authority (CPA), in an advisory, said it will operate on a skeletal workforce from March 26 to April 15, 2020 following implementation of the ECQ in Cebu.

CPA urged the use of online transactions while walk-in transactions or personal appointments are discouraged.

The Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu, in a social media page post, said its frontliners assure the public of continuity of service to ensure unhampered flow of goods and supplies in all seaports and airports.
