China Cargo Airlines appointed the Tam Group as its general sales and service agent for the Philippines, the third partnership in Southeast Asia after Malaysia and Vietnam.
The alliance began on January 1, 2025 and aims to strengthen China Cargo Airlines’ operations in the region, the airline said.
China Cargo Airlines currently operates five weekly flights from Manila to Shanghai and three from Cebu to Shanghai using the A320. These routes are integral to facilitating trade and commerce, ensuring timely transport of goods such as perishables and electronics between the two countries, the airline said.
Same-day delivery of perishables to major cities in Eastern China is supported through the Road Feeder Service (RFS), leveraging early flight schedules.
“We are excited to deepen our partnership with China Cargo Airlines in the Philippines. This appointment not only enhances our regional footprint but also enables us to deliver improved services and support for their operations,” Tam Group senior vice president Alvin Tam said.
The Tam Group has implemented robust CRM systems and offers 24/7 customer service to ensure a seamless client experience, he added. “We are continuously seeking enhancements to our offerings and look forward to collaborating closely with China Cargo Airlines to unlock their full potential in the Philippine market.”
The partnership is expected to boost the market presence of both entities in Southeast Asia’s growing logistics sector.
China Cargo Airlines, founded in 1998, is China’s first professional air cargo company. Based in Shanghai, it operates from Hongqiao and Pudong International Airports. A member of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance since 2013, the airline maintains a leading position in the cargo transport sector with a fleet of over 10 freighters and belly space on nearly 800 China Eastern Airlines passenger aircraft.
The Tam Group, established in 1977 and headquartered in Hong Kong, is a global GSSA representing 28 carriers worldwide. It operates 37 branches across 17 countries in Asia Pacific, the Americas, and Europe.
