Noel Manankil has resigned as president and chief executive officer of Clark Development Corp. (CDC), the government agency that manages the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.

Manankil, who was appointed in 2016, stepped down for personal reasons, CDC public relations chief Noel Tulabut said.

Vice president for administration and finance Mariza Mandocdoc has been designated officer-in-charge, as approved by the CDC Board.

“Mandocdoc will assume the post on Oct. 23 until a regular president and chief executive officer shall have been elected,” according to a letter by CDC Board chairman Jose de Jesus dated October 22.

CDC is a government-owned and controlled corporation under the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.
