Clark International Aviation Campus will soon rise near Clark International Airport.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), and the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA) signed on June 13 a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the establishment of the dedicated aviation training hub.
The agreement is part of flagship projects under the Clark Aviation Capital initiative, which seeks to position Clark as a central hub for aviation education and workforce development.
The training campus will provide students with direct access to Clark International Airport’s active operations, allowing hands-on learning and real-time exposure to airport and aviation activities.
The initiative supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s broader infrastructure and transport strategy to enhance the country’s aviation sector by developing institutional capacity and skilled manpower.
Present during the signing were Transportation assistant secretary for Aviation and Airports Capt. Donaldo Mendoza, CAAP director general Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario (Ret.), CAAP deputy director general for administration Danjun Lucas, CIAC president and CEO Joseph Alcazar, CIAC director Glenn Albano, PhilSCA president Marwin Dela Cruz, and Engineer Kristofer Neal Imperial.
In his remarks, Del Rosario said the partnership is intended to lay the groundwork for a more capable and responsive aviation sector. “This MOU is just the beginning of a shared commitment to build a future where Philippine aviation soars even higher, guided by the principles of excellence, safety, and service,” he said in a statement.
Under the agreement, CAAP will provide technical support and regulatory assistance to CIAC for the campus’ development and operation.
The collaboration is aimed at addressing the growing demand for aviation professionals and expanding the country’s capacity to produce trained personnel to meet global and domestic aviation standards.
