French box ship CMA CGM announced it will reshuffle in partnership with Maersk Line its Asia-South Africa and Mozambique services.

These two new services to be jointly operated by the two shipping giants will replace the current Shaka and Mozex services.

From April 24, the New Shaka2 service will have eight vessels with individual capacities of 6,500 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) and will run this port rotation:Shanghai, Ninbo, Fuzhou, Yantian , Tanjung Pelepas, Port Louis,Durban, Port Elizabeth/Ngqura, Port Louis, Singapore, and Nansha New Port.

From May 8, the New Mozex2, using seven vessels with capacities of 2,200 TEUs each, will make calls at Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Pointe des Galets, Toamasina, Maputo, Beira, Nacala, and Port Louis.
