Cheng Lie Navigation Co. Ltd. (CNC) is introducing three new services this month, including one connecting Singapore with Mindanao in the southern Philippines.

The Singapore-based intra-Asian carrier’s three services, SPX, TCC, and PLM, provide connectivity between various Southeast Asian countries and China.

The weekly SPX, which links up Singapore and Mindanao, departed the Lion City on March 12 for its inaugural voyage. Its service rotation is Singapore–Davao (Davao International Container Terminal)–General Santos–Singapore.

SPX is a dedicated reefer service that specializes in transporting chilled and sensitive commodities such as bananas and pineapples from the ports of Davao and General Santos. It also provides direct sailing between Mindanao and Singapore that connects to the global network.

TCC, on the other hand, provides direct connectivity from Central and South China to Sihanoukville in Cambodia. The service will also double up as an alternative shipping option for China-bound cargoes from Thailand. It starts its inaugural sailing on March 20 from Laem Chabang with a Bangkok–Laem Chabang–Ningbo–Shanghai–Shekou–Sihanoukville–Bangkok rotation.

Through the PLM service, CNC said it will serve Palembang, a niche Indonesian port located in South Sumatra. PLM will carry Indonesian exports such as rubber, plywood, fertilizer and coffee shuttling between the ports of Singapore and Palembang from today, March 15.

CNC is the Intra-Asia short sea specialist of the CMA CGM Group, a French global player in sea, land, air and logistics solutions.
