CNC, COSCO in vessel sharing pact for China PH 8 service

Cheng Lie Navigation Co., Ltd. (CNC) and COSCO Shipping Lines have entered into a vessel-sharing agreement for CNC’s China Philippines 8 (CP8) service.

The agreement involves two vessels with a capacity of 2,800 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU)—CNC’s Serval and COSCO’s Colombo.

CNC’s CP8 service offers direct and fast connection from Fuqing, Shanghai, Ningbo and Xiamen in China, to Manila. The service also offers weekend cut-off at Shanghai and Ningbo, delivering the shipments needed during the weekdays.

The weekly CP8 has a service rotation of Fuqing – Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Manila North – Manila South – Fuqing.

The Colombo is expected to arrive at Shanghai on April 13.

Aside from the CP8 service, CNC and COSCO earlier entered into vessel-sharing agreements for CNC’s KCS and China 1 services.
