Comendador appointed CPA chief, acting GM

  • Francisco Comendador III has been appointed by President Marcos as chief executive officer and acting general manager of the Cebu Port Authority
  • Comendador was also appointed as head of the Cebu Port Commission
  • Marcos also appointed five acting commissioners of CPC

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Francisco Comendador III as chief executive officer and acting general manager of the Cebu Port Authority (CPA).

Comendador was also appointed commissioner of the Cebu Port Commission (CPC), the governing body of CPA. He is a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Liloan, Cebu.

He replaces Leonilo Miole, whose term ended on June 30 last year, when the new administration took over.

Also appointed as acting commissioners of the CPC were Allan G. Alfon, representing the business sector; Leo B. Cañares. cargo-handling labor sector; Joselito O. Pedaria, cargo-handling labor sector, and Jose Mario Elino T. Tan, shipping sector.

Alfon, Pedaria, and Tan had previously been commissioners of CPC.

The new appointees took their oath before Transportation Secretary and CPC chairman Jaime Bautista on July 13.

An attached agency of the Department of Transportation, CPA administers all ports located in the province of Cebu.
