DB Schenker received the 2024 Collaboration Award from Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc. for its role in implementing export consolidated trucking.

The initiative delivered process efficiencies and cut PMM’s monthly carbon emissions by 50%, DB Schenker said in a LinkedIn post.

The award was presented by Mitsuki Notsu, director of Murata’s administration division, and Akira Ogawa, senior manager for logistics and receiving warehouse.

Cris Villanueva, cluster head for airfreight, and Len Yuma, cluster head for VM Technology, Semiconductor & Cloud, received the award on behalf of DB Schenker.

“Delivering effective, eco-friendly solutions is a core value of our organization,” said Rangga Yudhika, chief commercial officer of DB Schenker Philippines-Indonesia Cluster.

Yudhika also said the partnership with PMM “demonstrates our shared commitment to sustainability, and we are honored by this recognition.”

Murata is into manufacturing and sales of electrical and electronics components. It operates a sales office as well as the PMM in the Philippines. The former was set up in 1998, while the latter was launched in 2012 as Murata’s largest production site in Asia.
