Officers and trustees of the newly-formed Deconsolidators Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DAPI) took their oath on July 29, led by Ramon Olgado (Soonest Global Express Movers) as president.
Association officers include Jun Silva (Gen-Ex Cargo Manila) as vice president for internal affairs, Carlito Supan (MBS Cargo Movers Co.) as vice president for external affairs, Lenie Naniong (LCSN Express Movers Inc.) as treasurer, and Rizza Remolona Amongol (Ex Speed Cargo) and Angely Mares Tegerero (MBS Cargo Movers Co.) as secretaries.
Elias Corpus (Odani Logistic Group); Florentino Litong (AFreight); Jessie Lugtu (12:24 Cargo Express Corp.), Jose Alfredo Casio (Adbex International Cargo Corp.), Joseph Brian Azores (Ex Speed Cargo Delivery Phils. Inc.), Maria Christina Magtibay (Focus Cargo), Philip Francis Benitez (Penanshin Shipping Phils. Inc.), Rafael Fabia (RRG Freight Services), Ramvy Gonzales (I-Merez Group of Companies Inc.), Reynante Dangaran (Ex Speed Cargo), Roberto Omañia (High Lights Express), Ruben Melliza Jr. (RLMSR Freight Forwarding Services), and licensed customs brokers Eugene Mayo, Reymar Asuncion, and Reyno Tarosa form the Board of Trustees.
Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 15, 2025, DAPI was formed by a group of balikbayan cargo companies, cargo logistics as well as freight forwarding companies along with associate professional customs brokers serving over 15 million overseas Filipino workers.
Deconsolidators are local freight forwarders or agents who specialize in breaking down consolidated shipments, particularly balikbayan boxes and other loose cargoes, for distribution within the Philippines.
The group’s mission and objectives are aligned with the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association, Inc., which also represents the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
DAPI aims to foster unity, cooperation, and coopetition within its members while promoting professionalism and development. It aims to help address industry issues and concerns, vowing to police its ranks and launch a massive campaign to eradicate unscrupulous players.
It also aims to enhance its mission of providing the best service to the OFW community, while also working and collaborating with various government agencies and stakeholders. – Roumina Pablo
