ID-10070625The Philippine Department of Finance (DOF) has recalled the detail of several customs officials assigned to the customs agency in the past few years as part of the reform team.

Former customs commissioner Alberto Lina in a memorandum dated June 28 and signed June 29 said that, pursuant to DOF’s orders dated June 21, the detail of several officials and employees from the DOF’s Office of the Revenue Agency Modernization (ORAM) is recalled effective June 30.

ORAM, created in 2013 through an executive order, is in charge of formulating and implementing improvements in the processes, systems, and procedures of the country’s revenue-generating agencies.

Recalled from their positions are Ricardo B. Butalid, Jr. (acting district collector, Port of Davao); Atty. Emer M. Aceron (deputy collector for assessment, Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA); Atty. Illie Lionel B. Gramata (deputy collector for operations, Manila International Container Port or MICP); Willie M. Tolentino (special staff for operations, Intelligence Group or IG); Nestor A. Añonuevo (acting director, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service, IG; Miguelfio D. Saquisame (special staff for administration, IG); Atty. Ver Angelo N. Sumabat (acting director, Port Operations Service or POS, Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group or AOCG); Atty. Victor Pablo C. Trinidad (chief of staff, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, AOCG); Atty. Regino D. Mallari, Jr. (project manager, POS, AOCG); Atty. Maria Minerva B. Aldave (project manager, POS, AOCG); Dexter C. Pedreza (project manager, Import Assessment Service, AOCG); Regino D. Pamittan (Accounting Division, Financial Management Office, Internal Administration Group or IAG); Nicanor E. Dolojan (acting chief, Auction and Cargo Disposal Division, Port of Manila or POM); Atty. Jose M. Arollado, Jr. (project manager, POS, AOCG); and Alejandria E. Frago (head, External Affairs Committee Secretariat).

The detail of other officials and employees who came from various government agencies was likewise recalled.

They are Exequiel Cempron (officer-in-charge, IAG); Atty. Kriden F. Balgomera (deputy collector for operations, NAIA); Joseph S. Peralta and Christler R. Trance (PEZA-Cavite Customs House Office, POM); James Victor M. Esguerra, Atty. Ma. Pola S. Luanzon, Atty. Luisito Z. Mendoza, Lily F. Dayog (Office of the Deputy Commissioner, IAG); and Vincent D. Navea (Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Revenue Collection Monitoring Group).

Lina ordered the officials and employees involved to secure clearances of accountabilities prior to reporting to their respective mother agencies.
