Domestic air freight forwarders handled 9.1% more cargo in the first nine months of 2024 to 46.797 million kilograms (chargeable weight) from 42.878 million kg year-on-year, based on preliminary data from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).

Of the total volume, direct shipments accounted for 53.95% or 25.24 million kg, 14% higher than the 22.160 million kg in the first nine months of 2023.

Consolidations, 46.01% of the total, saw a 5.1% increase to 21.531 million kg from 20.487 million kg last year.

Breakbulking, on the other hand, posted a 91.4% decline to 19,887.50 kg from 231,080.80 kg previously.

It must be noted that only 92.71% of accredited domestic airfreight forwarders were able to submit complete data for January to September. This compares with the same period last year’s 90.38%.

AP Cargo Logistics Network Corp. continued to handle the highest volume of 15.13 million kg or a 32.33% share of the total, leading CAB’s list of top 30 domestic airfreight forwarders for the first nine months of 2024.

LBC Express, Inc. also remained in second place with 4.876 million kg or a 10.42% share.

Climbing nine ranks to third was PH Global Jet Express with 3.367 million kg or a share of 7.19% while keeping its rank in fourth place was 2GO Express, Inc. with 2.780 million kg or a share of 5.94%.

Up six places to fifth was Lite Xpress Int’l., Inc., which handled 2.258 million kg or 4.83%. It was followed by JRS Business Corp., which dropped three places to sixth with 2.058 million kg or a share of 4.4%.

Both climbing by one rank were ASP Airspeed Philippines, Inc. to seventh with 1.782 million kg or a 3.81% share, and Four Aces Resources Corp. to eighth with 1.298 million kg or 2.77%.

Contributing 1.264 million kg or 2.7% was Nonpareil International Freight & Cargo Services, Inc., which dropped three places to ninth.

Capping the top 10 domestic air freight forwarders’ list was Trans-Global Consolidators Inc., which handled 1.218 million kg, or a share of 2.6%.

From 11th to 20th places were:

  • Kim Gold Cargo Logistics, Inc. (1.008 million kg)

  • Argo International Forwarders Inc. (495,392 kg)
  • Worldwide Elite Freight Forwarding Consolidation Services, Inc. (489,349.75 kg)
  • V-Freight Cargo Services, Inc. (471,540.52 kg)
  • Airspeed International Corp. (467,400 kg)
