Taiwan’s Evergreen Line announced a revision to its port rotation schedule and a new slot charter agreement to improve its service on the Asia-Australia trade.

The North East Asia Australia service (NEAX), which Evergreen operates jointly with Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, and Orient Overseas Container Line will have a new port rotation starting with the sailing from Yokohama on August 4.

The revised schedule will run as follows: Osaka, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane before returning to Yokohama.

“The service adjustment will not only improve schedule integrity but will also provide a direct link from Qingdao and shorten the transit time from Shanghai and Ningbo to Australian ports,” the carrier said in a statement.

Additionally, Evergreen is adding the new Sino Australia Service (SAS), also to start operations from August 4 through a slot charter arrangement with Cosco Container Lines.

The SAS port rotation will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shekou, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Ningbo.
