International bulk and breakbulk terminal Manila Harbor Center (MHC) has been rebranded as Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT), with a new logo and website unveiled.

The name change is part of a strategic rebranding initiative and is inspired by the company’s steady growth and to underscore synergies with its owner and parent company, International Container Terminal Services, Inc.  (ICTSI).

ICTSI in 2021 acquired 100% shares of Manila Harbour Center Port Services, Inc. (MHCPSI), which operates the international breakbulk and bulk private port facility located at the northern side of the Manila Harbour Center, Port of Manila.

ICTSI in a statement said under its management, MMT “experienced a significant leap in productivity resulting from streamlined processes and new technologies.”

The port operator said its global brand of port operation has enabled MMT to leverage new opportunities and navigate the shifting trends in global trade.

“As a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), we embarked on this rebranding initiative to echo the ICTSI Group’s global standards and industry leadership,” said Phillip Marsham, ICTSI global director for MMT.

“Manila Multipurpose Terminal embodies a renewed corporate vision that centers on excellence, efficiency and innovation. Embracing ICTSI’s values, we are excited to move forward to a new chapter in general cargo operations in the Philippines,” Marsham added.

Aside from the terminal name change, the company has also introduced a new logo that is more aligned with the ICTSI brand. The refreshed website also provides customers with the information they need about the company and its services.

An advisory dated March 1 was also issued to clients regarding new email addresses for various offices at MMT.

With an annual capacity of 10 million metric tons, MMT’s 13.2-hectare facility serves major industries including construction, mining, power, telecommunication, manufacturing and agriculture.
