FAPAA concludes 51st annual meet

The Federation of Asia Pacific Aircargo Associations (FAPAA) recently concluded its 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Executive Council Meeting (ECM) in Manila, electing its new officers for 2026-2028.

Ardani Pratama Yahya of the Indonesia Logistics and Freight Forwarders Association is the new chairperson. Keshav Ramnik Tanna of Air Cargo Agents Association of India will be the new vice president and Krishnan Chelliah of the Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders the honorary secretary.

Honorary treasurer will be Gary Lau (Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Ltd) and honorary auditor, Kansiri Inthraphuvasak (Thai Airfreight Forwarders Association).

The 51st AGM and ECM, held in Pasay City, from June 1-3, 2025, was presided by the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association, Inc., led by its executive director Doris Torres. Torres is FAPAA’s chairperson for 2024-2026, the first woman to hold the position in the association’s history.

Aside from the election of new officers, the three-day event also saw presentations from various industry leaders providing valuable insights on current industry trends and challenges. These include International Air Transport Association Asia-Pacific Regional Cargo Manager David Wee, Philippine Airlines assistant vice president for cargo sales Cherry Castillo-Lee, InterCommerce Network Services Inc. president

Francis Norman Lopez, and trade facilitation and independent consultation Dennis Pantastico.

 

Formed in 1985, FAPAA is to provide a body focused on the particular needs of the members of its constituent country and/or region associations and to enhance the growth and development of aircargo services within the Asia Pacific.

 

Its members include associations in the region, notably Australia; Bangladesh; Brunei; Hong Kong; India; Indonesia; Japan; Korea; Malaysia; Nepal; New Zealand; Pakistan; the Philippines; Singapore; Sri Lanka; Taiwan; and Thailand.
